Mitrovica or Mitrovicë is a city in northern Kosovo, ethnically divided between a southern ethnic-Albanian part and a northern ethnic-Serbian part along the Ibër (Ibar) river. It is known for the Mitrovica Bridge which has become a symbol of the divide between Albanians and Serbs.
