What this is
A travel reference built on sources you can check, rather than listings someone paid to appear in.
Most travel sites are shopfronts. The hotel at the top of the page is there because it pays the most commission, the “best restaurants” list is affiliate-driven, and the safety advice is whatever will not put you off booking. KarismaTrip is built the other way round: every fact on it comes from a named source, and where we have no source, the page says so instead of filling the gap.
Where the information comes from
Nothing here is written by an anonymous content team, and nothing is generated to fill space. Each type of information has exactly one origin:

No risk ratings
We deliberately do not publish travel advisory levels. Risk ratings are political as well as factual, governments routinely disagree about the same country, and a number reprinted hours late is worse than no number at all. Country pages carry the factual guidance instead — entry requirements, currency, weather, transport — and point you at your own government for safety advice.
How we make money
At the moment, we don’t. There are no ads, no sponsored placements, no affiliate links, and nothing on this site has been paid for by the places it describes.
If that changes, it will be through clearly labelled affiliate links on booking actions — and it will be disclosed here and on the pages concerned before it goes live. What will not change: no payment will ever affect a safety rating, a ranking, or whether somewhere is included.
What we don’t do
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for, so there is no password of yours for us to lose.
- No tracking. No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics profiling you across sites. See the privacy policy.
- No invented content.No AI-written “hidden gems”, no fabricated reviews, no prices copied from a press release three years ago.
Corrections
Travel information goes out of date — prices change, visa rules change, restaurants close. If something here is wrong, write to the address in the footer and we will fix it or remove it. For guide text, corrections are often best made at Wikivoyage directly, where they benefit everyone using that data.
