Abengourou is a city of around 120,000 inhabitants in the east of Côte d'Ivoire. It's the administrative capital of the Moyen-Comoé region but also a regional centre for trade, learning, medical care and religion. It's the place of residence of the Anyi paramount chief and the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Abengourou.
